 Lindsey escaped an abusive marriage and has rebuilt her life with her daughter. 11 years later her ex-husband is released from jail and some unnerving events start occurring, home invasions and threats made to loved ones. As Lindsay's life begins to unravel her now teenage daughter starts questioning: how bad her Father really was? what if he has changed? should she give him a chance to be her Dad again? After all, she only knows her Mothers side of the story... This is a chilling well-paced and well-plotted thriller that takes the reader to some very dark places. Throughout the book, there are plenty of twists some predictable others shocking. Steven's takes an incredibly sensitive subject and makes it suspenseful and dark without dramatizing it, definitely one of the better domestic thrillers out there.
