Sophie Mayhew looks like she has the perfect life. Everything is not as perfect as it seems in Sophie's life married to John F. Mayhew (next in line to become the Prime Minister!). But behind all the glitz and glamour, Sophie is just a pawn, a trophy wife... she has had enough of this half life, is time to step out of his shadow?
A fabulous book! Milly's seemingly effortless writing will have you hooked from the start, she writes with real heart and uses her strong female heroine Sophie to address deep issues and tough subjects commonly swept under the carpet in the real world. Sophie steps away from the cut-throat world of politics to think she finds herself in the warm-hearted village community of Little Loste. This is the perfect juxtaposition between the two lives Sophie could led.. soon has to decide whether to go being the dutiful wife or stay in the charming village and start over? One of those rare books that will swallow up your day without realising it. Romantic and uplifting it won't fail to put a smile on your face.
