MY MOST ANTICIPATED READS OF 2021 | FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS

Kicking off my new feature Feel Good Fridays with my most anticipated reads of 2021.

I've narrowed it down to ten books that sound fabulous & I don't want to miss...

1) Act Your Age, Eve Brown | Talia Hibbert | Released: 9th March

Why I'm looking forward to it:
Hibbert's writing is funny, sexy & smart! I've loved Chloe's & Dani's stories, so can't wait to find out about Eve's.

"She's sunshine. He's serious. They are enemies for now...."

2) The Frequency of Us | Keith Stuart | Released: 25th March

Why I'm looking forward to it:
I haven't come across Stuart before (I know I must have been living under a rock!). But with Beth O'Leary, Clare Pooley & Josie Silver all saying wonderful things about it, I know this is one gem I don't want to miss.

"An impossible mystery. A love that refuses to end."

3) Sweet Sweet Revenge Ltd. | Jonas Jonasson | Released: 1st April

Why I'm looking forward to it:
Jonasson always provides plenty of laughs. Ever since The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window & Disappeared he is a must buy author for me.

"Meet Ole, Mbatian Jr., a Maasai warrior, Kevin his sort-of-son, Agneta, a wronged penniless and ex-wife, & Johan an unscrupulous ad-man who set-up a company specialising in revenge".

4) The Road Trip | Beth O'Leary | Released: 29th April

Why I'm looking forward to it:
O'Leary's novels are always brimming with warmth & compassion. This one sounds fabulous...

"One car. Five people. A whole lot of history..."

5) A Taste of Home
 | Heidi Swain | Released: 29th April

Why I'm looking forward to it:
A new Swain novel to me is like reading a ray of sunshine.

"Fliss sets off armed with the desire to find out more from her past, Noona Rossi's recipe for cherry and almond tarts & a piece of advice: 'connect with your family before it is too late..."

6) The Island Home | Libby Page | Released: 24th June

Why I'm looking forward to it:
Page captures community comforts in such a joyful way. I'm counting down the days until I can curl up with it.

"...with two decades, hundreds of miles, and a lifetime's worth of secrets between Lorna and the island, can coming home mean starting again?"

7) The Museum of Ordinary People | Mike Gayle | Released: 8th July

Why I'm looking forward to it:
Gayle writes heart-warming & heart-breaking reads, that always leave you feeling hopeful. This one sounds perfect...

"Inspired by a box of mementos found abandoned in a skip, this is an uplifting story of memory, love, loss, grief & the things we leave behind".

8) When We Were Young | Richard Roper | Released: 22nd July

Why I'm looking forward to it:
I love Roper's debut & can't wait to dive into this one!

"One of them is keeping a secret, the other is living a lie. But can the promise they once made to walk all 184 miles of the Thames Path help them find their way back to the truth - and to their friendship".

9)The Lock In | Phoebe Luckhurst | Released: 22nd July

Why I'm looking forward to it:
A twist on a locked-room mystery, a locked room love story, this debut sounds brilliantly original...

"Three flatmates. Two best friends. One old flame. And a very locked door..."

10) Walking on Sunshine | Giovanna Fletcher | Released: 11th November

Why I'm looking forward to it:
I'm a huge fan of Fletcher's previous novels. Billy & Sophie still have a special place in my heart all these years later. So can't wait to see the new characters she has brought to life.

"You never really know where life will take you next..."
